Weather Summary

Weather Underground Forecast for Friday, May 16, 2008. Virtually no shower and thunderstorm development is expected Friday. This suppression of precipitation will be due to a high pressure system that will remain anchored north of Cuba and Hispaniola. The most active showers and thunderstorms will develop over the northern extent of South America. Venezuela and Colombia will see the most of this precipitation.

Central America will also remain dry, aside from northern Mexico where a front will slide through the region.

The Gulf of Mexico will experience some precipitation in the afternoon and evening as a cold front moves into open water from the Gulf Coast of the United States.

Moderate tradewinds are expected through the heart of the Caribbean Sea, while weak winds are anticipated elsewhere.
